Iris ID’s biometric systems leverage AI/ML technologies throughout every stage of the recognition pipeline:
- AI-Enhanced Data Acquisition: Advanced imaging and adaptive algorithms automatically optimize capture conditions – such as illumination, capture view, and user positioning – to ensure consistent, high-quality biometric samples and a seamless user experience.
- High-Precision Feature Extraction and Matching: State-of-the-art deep learning models enable exceptionally accurate Biometric authentication, maintaining high performance under challenging environmental and user conditions, such as variations in lighting, pose, or expression.
- AI-Powered Presentation Attack Detection (PAD): Iris ID employs machine learning–based PAD techniques to detect and prevent presentation attacks, including cosmetic or patterned contact lens detection, iris anti-spoofing (Iris PAD), and face liveness detection (Face PAD, e.g., 3D face mask detection).

Defending Against AI-Generated Threats
With the increasing prevalence of synthetic biometric data and AI-generated media (e.g., deepfakes), the threat landscape for biometric systems continues to evolve rapidly. Iris ID is actively developing advanced PAD and any types of attack detection algorithms to defend against emerging AI-based spoofing methods.
Our R&D teams focus on enhancing system robustness against new brand attacks.
