Cranbury, NJ, USA, and Seoul, Korea – October 26, 2010 – Iris ID Systems Inc., formerly LG Electronics, Iris Technology Division, a leading provider of iris biometric technology, announced today that in conjunction with the Ministry of Interior, State of Qatar, it is demonstrating at MILIPOL Qatar 2010 a production Biometric Enrollment Station Kiosk equipped with its iCAM4000 iris camera to facilitate identity management for the citizens of Qatar. The new Iris ID’s non-contact iris recognition platforms delivered to the Ministry of Interior will provide the government biometrically-enabled information that will be used to deliver accurate and significantly improved government e-services to citizens and residents who apply for Passports, National ID cards, Resident ID Cards, and for many other services in the near future.
